Our Company Biography

Bluegrass Electrical Consultants History

Since 1976, Bluegrass Electrical Consultants, Inc. has been a leading provider of quality highway electrical contracting and related services. Stephen and Deborah Price founded the company as a startup in their home in Ryland Heights, Kentucky. They concentrated the business with a focus on commercial and industrial electrical work in the State of Kentucky. Until his death in 2014, Mr. Price was a regular at the office, daily taking part in the business that he created and loved. Today, Bluegrass Electrical Consultants continues as a family-owned company with his loving wife of 40 years, Deborah Price, as the President. Deborah and her two sons and son-in-law continue to carry on the legacy. The core values of the company—honesty, integrity, and pride in our work—are the ultimate legacy, established by the family over the years at all levels of the organization. With an impressive average tenure of over 18 years, the dedication of its employees is evident.
Bluegrass Electrical Consultants, Inc. is committed to leading the industry in safety advancements, workforce training, and customer satisfaction. The organization provides OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid Training for all employees, and all employees are trained in Traffic Control and Work Zone Safety. Bluegrass Electrical Consultants has been awarded 5 Safety Merit Awards from the Kentucky Association of Highway Contractors in recognition of no workplace accidents, and, currently, 2,600 consecutive days have passed without an accident. The company’s focus and direction of their team leaders and dedicated employees is to meet and exceed customer expectations through a full-spectrum of electrical design, build and maintenance services, and completing projects on time and on budget with the highest ethical standards.
